DESERT ARCHIVE
(2018 – ongoing)

Desert Archive is an evolving body of work gathered through years of walking, observing, and returning to the Sonoran Desert. The images trace the emotional and material textures of this landscape, its weathered stones, dry washes, skeletal plants, animal traces, and atmospheric phenomena. These fragments reveal the desert as an environment shaped by overlapping temporalities, where geological and ecological histories intersect with symbolic and intuitive experience.

Rather than documenting the desert, the archive approaches it as a field of correspondences. Each encounter, a bone, a collapsing cactus, a pattern of wind, a brief flare of light, becomes part of a constellation and collection of signals and forms. The images drift between document and apparition, studying how the desert imprints itself on perception and interior experience.
